Currently I am involved in the delivery of various modules at the International Centre for Music Studies (ICMuS) Newcastle University (UK) where I also engage in one-to-one guitar tuition and specialist study project supervision.
Practical Studies 2: tutoring popular and vernacular music ensembles
I believe that recording and evaluating rehearsal sessions is productive in focusing collaborative group work. My role in Practical Studies 2, as well as workshoping, listening and giving feedback, involves making audio recordings of weekly sessions and placing these online for group critique / further development and discussion. The mp3s are available to the student cohort and relevant members of staff from this website (via a password protected folder) and although intended to be useful and relevant are not utilised for assessment in any way.
Post Vernacular Composition
Starting Feb 2009 I will once again be running a five week ‘hacking’ project.

Wii / Junxion / Ableton Live: Loosing control with wireless games controllers
Live Sampling: (LiSa) Real-time rebirth and reworking of audio materials.
Multichannel audio / live digital video: what might you do with this stuff?
Creative Music Technologies
Mixing Desk architecture and associated peripherals (introductionary course) / seminar support.
Collective Free Improvisation
